Down!
It took a while to get this far
It took long to even begin
I guess there is more to who we are
Yet I’ve still lost my worth for
living
So I lie still
Still as can be
Because
I lost my will
To continue this journey
I hold me
I hold me tight
I love me
But I t never does seem right
I hold me tight
As this world fades
I hold me tight
And curse this façade
I’m all I feel
In this world of illusion
Wishing you were real
Jus t as my confusion

Determination
In the start the end is foreseen, and the end always justifies
the means
A journey, a peasant, down a battered road
the peasant is accursed with a heavy load
so many times she wants to break down and cry
but discomfort is subordinated by the determination to try
only the road sees the end , hope dies with every new bend
it rises, it falls, the road is smooth and rough
without this burden maybe it wouldn’t be so tough
About to break, working on the last wisps of smoke
Which rises from the red hot burning coals
When suddenly the end is reached
The journey ended , discomfort breached!
But think would it have been as rewarding
Without the tears, strife and the scalding?
Are not our eyes more crystal clear
After it has been washed with many a tear?
There is a new beginning inside me for:
In the start the end is foreseen, and the end always justifies
the means
